FRISCO -- Sunday was supposed to be a joyous homecoming for Cowboys rookie receiver Michael Gallup. He was back in his hometown of Atlanta to play in front of family and friends for the first time as an NFL player.
Gallup made a key third-down catch on the Cowboys' game-winning field goal drive in the final minutes against the Falcons and then minutes later learned one of his brothers had died over the weekend.
"We found out after the ballgame his brother had committed suicide," Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said Monday morning on 105.3 The Fan [KRLD-FM].
