Gus Frerotte knows a little something about throwing the football.
Frerotte was an NFL quarterback for 15 seasons with seven teams. He took snaps for playoff teams and division champions. He even took snaps in a Pro Bowl. So he knew how to maximize his receivers.
Frerotte also knows how to maximize his running backs. He knows the value of a handoff to a quarterback. He also knows the value of a handoff to a coach — which is why during his stint as the head coach at the John Burroughs School in Ladue, Mo., he continually called handoffs to Ezekiel Elliott.
