Gosselin: If the season ended today, this Cowboy would get my vote for MVP

The Cowboys have been around for 57 years and have been one of the NFL's most successful franchises with those five Lombardi Trophies, 23 NFC East titles and 31 playoff appearances.

But the Cowboys have had only one NFL MVP -- Emmitt Smith in 1993.

The Packers have fielded eight MVPs since 1960. Peyton Manning won five by himself. But the Cowboys? Just the one.

That count could double in 2016.

The Cowboys are a team that deserves accolades with a 13-2 record and the top seed in the NFC playoffs already in the back pocket heading to Philadelphia this weekend for the season finale.
