Good night's sleep prepares Ezekiel Elliott to run over defenders on Sundays

FRISCO, Texas -- The NFL's leading rusher crawled into bed about 7:30 the other night with every intention of watching a movie.

He was asleep before 8 p.m. Maybe 7:45 He's not sure.

"Man, I was soooo tired," he said. "I tried to stay up but couldn't."

Can you blame him? Ezekiel Elliott is tops in the NFL with 1,005 yards rushing, three yards shy of breaking Hall of Famer Tony Dorsett's 30-year-old Dallas Cowboys rookie rushing record.

Elliott is second in the NFL in carries and turned in one of the season’s best performances before a national TV audience in Sunday's 35-30 victory over Pittsburgh.
