Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo shocked the world last week when it was announced he was retiring from football to pursue an NBA career.
Well, not exactly. Romo is actually going to the broadcast booth to join CBS. But the former Cowboy will be honored Tuesday night as a Maverick for a day, taking place in the team's pregame warm ups and dressing up in a No. 9 jersey.
For those that don't know, Romo was actually a pretty good hooper back in the day. He was on an all-state team with future Maverick Caron Butler in high school and Romo actually originally thought he would playing basketball in college instead of sticking to the grid iron.
