NFL free agency is an ongoing process, and right now teams are trying to scoop up bargains and reclamation projects. Like the Kansas City Chiefs, who are bringing in Cowboys tight end Gavin Escobar for a visit.
Escobar was drafted in the second round of the 2013 draft in hopes of being a complement and heir to Jason Witten. But like so many tight ends before him, it never materialized in Dallas. Either the player wasn’t talented enough, or he falls victim to the Cowboys love (and rightfully so) of Jason Witten.
