OXNARD, Calif. – The Cowboys have an elite kicker in Dan Bailey, and they plan to trust him.
Head coach Jason Garrett said the team will continue to kick extra points “most of the time” despite the NFL’s rule change that moves the line of scrimmage from the 2-yard line to the 15.
The new rule also allows the defense to return a blocked kick or a fumbled/intercepted two-point conversion attempt for two points.
Under the old rule, Bailey was a perfect 179-for-179 and the league had a 99-percent overall conversion rate.
