OXNARD, Calif. - Rookie defensive end Taco Charlton, the Cowboys' first-round draft pick, will get his first NFL practice in pads Wednesday afternoon. It doesn't get real for linemen in particular until the pads come on, as defensive coordinator Rod Marinelli will attest.
But Charlton is making other adjustments to the league. For one, the Dallas requires rookies to sing for the team during training camp. Charlton was up first. His selection: Roses by OutKast.
"I started off good," Charlton revealed. "Just didn't end well."
Charlton continues to be confident, even as he goes up in practice at times against All-Pro left tackle Tyron Smith.
