The Cowboys will have a new starting left guard next season.
Jonathan Cooper, who started 13 games at left guard last season, has signed a one-year deal with San Francisco, the 49ers announced on their official web site.
Cooper replaced Chaz Green at left guard early in the season and remained in the starting lineup the rest of the year. He injured his knee in the Cowboys’ season finale at Philadelphia and underwent surgery in January.
Meanwhile, the Cowboys are expected to visit with five free agents in the coming days, including three offensive linemen: tackles Cameron Fleming and LaAdrian Waddle; guard/center Marcus Martin; and wide receivers wide receivers Dontrelle Inman and Justin Hunter.
