Fourth in an eight-part series examining the Cowboys' free-agent needs.
Jason Witten has been asked the same question after the last few seasons ended for the Cowboys: Will the tight end be back next year?
The answer has always been yes.
But Witten's answer could soon change as he approaches his 16th season in Dallas and is about to turn 36, and the Cowboys will need to have a replacement ready.
Dallas could look to find an eventual replacement for Witten in the draft in late April. But it could also try to bridge the gap by adding a free agent.
