After the first week of free agency, the Dallas Cowboys have made a couple smart investments to fill holes on their team. Defensive tackle Gerald McCoy was the first guy to be signed that was met with applause by Cowboys Nation, and the acquisition of safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix soon followed. Just like that, the front office addressed two important deficiencies on defense at low prices.
That’s a great start, but the Cowboys work is far from done. They still need players. The draft will certainly help in that department, but the team should continue to look to free agency to find some nice value players to add to their roster.
