MOBILE, Ala. - Former University of Miami coach Al Golden will interview with the Dallas Cowboys on Wednesday for a defensive assistant job.
Golden will interview in Mobile, Ala., with Cowboys coach Jason Garrett, who is coaching the North team at the Senior Bowl this week.
Golden, 46, was born in New Jersey, not too far from where Garrett grew up. Golden went 32-25 in his four-plus seasons with the Hurricanes before he was fired in late October after a 58-0 home loss to undefeated Clemson.
The Cowboys are in need of a secondary coach after Jerome Henderson left last week to join the Atlanta Falcons' coaching staff as their defensive passing game coordinator.
