Former DT Josh Brent Returns To Cowboys In Scouting Department

IRVING, Texas - The Cowboys have again reached out to former defensive tackle Josh Brent. This time, it’s in the scouting department.

Brent, who has retired from football twice, most recently in May, is back at Valley Ranch working with the scouts, Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones said.

“It’s good to have him out here,” Jones said. “We want him here.”

Brent will work in the department run by Will McClay, the senior director of college/pro personnel. McClay said it’s too early to define a specific role for Brent, only that he will be working “his way into the department.
