Charles Haley, an inductee in the 2015 Pro Football Hall of Fame, will serve as the honorary starter for the Verizon IndyCar Firestone 600 on Saturday night at Texas Motor Speedway.
Haley played with a record five Super Bowl-winning teams with the Dallas Cowboys and San Francisco. He will be inducted into the Hall, in Canton, Ohio, on Aug. 9. The class includes Jerome Bettis, Junior Seau, Will Shields, Bill Polian, Ron Wolf, Mick Tinglehoff and Tim Brown of Dallas Woodrow Wilson High School.
