Jasper Brinkley was unable to land a spot on the Cowboys roster.
But he could still find himself on the field at AT&T Stadium on opening night.
The veteran linebacker signed a contract with the New York Giants Tuesday, a source confirmed. A skeptic would say the Giants are simply making the move to get an inside look at what the Cowboys will throw at them Sunday night.
There may be some truth to that. But the Giants do need depth at the position. And remember, Brinkley paid a visit to New York in free agency before signing with Dallas.
