Former Cowboys DT Russell Maryland helps out at training camp

OXNARD, Calif. – Former Cowboys defensive tackle Russell Maryland was at Wednesday’s training camp practice. The three-time Super Bowl champ and 1993 Pro Bowler was on hand to help coach the Cowboys defensive linemen.

“Russell is just a fantastic person, obviously a great player,” Cowboys coach Jason Garrett said. “He was a big part of those teams we had in the 90s. He’s a good friend of mine. He worked for the Cleveland Browns for a couple of years in their player engagement department. He’s back in Dallas now. I had a chance to visit with him and I just wanted to get him out here.
