FRISCO, Texas -- Jakar Hamilton last played for the Dallas Cowboys in 2014, but he is hoping to make a return to the NFL through the Indoor Football League.
Hamilton will be among the players on hand for an open tryout for the Salt Lake City Screaming Eagles on Saturday at the D1 Sports Training and Therapy, which counts Jason Witten and LaDainian Tomlinson among its owners. The tryout is open to all players from noon to 4 p.m.
“I’m real excited,” said Hamilton, who signed with the Cowboys as an undrafted free agent in 2013.
