On Monday, Judge Katherine Polk Failla denied the NFL’s request for an expedited hearing regarding Cowboys RB Ezekiel Elliott’s injunction, according to Daniel Wallach.
The NFL was hoping to have the hearing pushed up, which would prevent Elliott from being available for Week 8’s game against the Redskins, but it will now be held on Monday, October 30.
Elliott recently received a temporary restraining order while Failla is on vacation, which allowed him to play this past weekend.
A report surfaced that the NFL and Elliott’s representatives had discussed a potential settlement, but multiple reports have since denied that this is an option.
