CLEVELAND -- As he ran to the sideline after his first touchdown, Ezekiel Elliott did what came natural to him.
He spelled out: O-H-I-O.
It was a tribute to Ohio State and the fans who cheered for him two hours south of Cleveland’s FirstEnergy Stadium. A year ago he was a Buckeye. It did not seem to matter that he returned Sunday wearing a Dallas Cowboys uniform.
“Ohio means a lot to me,” Elliott said. “Kinda like a second home, just the memories I have here and the fans I made while at Ohio State with the things that I accomplished at that great university.
