FRISCO, Texas – Ezekiel Elliott’s chances of getting back onto the field suffered another setback on Tuesday afternoon.
Elliott’s legal team filed an emergency motion Tuesday for an injunction pending appeal of Judge Katherine Failla’s Monday decision to deny him a preliminary injunction of his six-game suspension from the NFL. Elliott and the NFL Players Association requested a decision on this latest motion by 7 p.m. Wednesday.
Failla didn’t even need that much time, however, as she rejected the motion later on Tuesday afternoon, noting that granting the injunction would essentially go against the ruling she made on Monday night.
