A nightmare year is over for Cowboys fans.
Dallas' NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles dethroned the New England Patriots 41-33 in Super Bowl LII.
The Eagles won the NFC East while dealing with major injuries, including a torn ACL to starting quarterback Carson Wentz. The Cowboys' meanwhile, stumbled to a 9-7 season and couldn't overcome Ezekiel Elliott's six-game suspension and injuries to Tyron Smith and Sean Lee, among others.
SportsDay's Tim Cowlishaw echoed similar thoughts, and criticized Jason Garrett's "next man up" approach:
No Pro Bowl quarterback, no Pro Bowl left tackle, no starting middle linebacker, no key third-down back.
