There are effectively only two head coach openings left in the NFL at the moment as the Houston Texans and Philadelphia Eagles are both still looking for someone to serve at the head of their franchises. It is expected that Dan Campbell, formerly of the Cowboys, will become the newest Detroit Lions head coach soon, but that remains unofficial. The Texans and Eagles are both organizations in the middle of some turmoil right now with both needing head coaches to help straighten out their future.
It was noted on Tuesday that Cowboys staffer George Edwards has drawn interest from the Chicago Bears as a defensive coordinator, and previously the Eagles showed interest in Kellen Moore for their vacant head coach position.
