ARLINGTON - Cowboys fans looking for something to soothe their pain after a woeful preseason outing Sunday night can at least feel good about one part of the team.
All indications are that this Cowboys defense is for real.
The Cowboys' first-team defense has played the equivalent of four quarters in three preseason games and has yet to allow a point. And the first-team defense has done it all with Pro Bowl linebacker Sean Lee playing only 10 snaps.
Lee didn't play Sunday in a 27-3 loss to Arizona, but the other defensive regulars were in the game except for injured safety Xavier Woods.
