Dez Bryant still day-to-day, unlikely to practice Monday

OXNARD, Calif. – Dez Bryant did not participate in Sunday’s training camp scrimmage and remains day-to-day. He’s not expected to practice Monday and it’s unlikely that he’ll play in Thursday’s preseason opener in San Diego.

Bryant is dealing with a strained left hamstring, so the team is being precautious with their star receiver.

During an ESPN Sunday Conversation, Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo talked specifically about the importance of having Bryant on the field.

“He changes the game,” Romo said. “Sometimes I push the coaches like there’s big play potential on every first down. We don’t need to get in a bunch of crazy formations.
