WINDSOR, Ontario -- NFL players have taken a wide range of approaches toward the franchise tag.
Pittsburgh's LeVeon Bell, for example, said he plans to skip OTAs and training camp after getting tagged last month for the second consecutive season. In Washington, meanwhile, Kirk Cousins' disdain for the tag forced the Redskins to trade the quarterback earlier this offseason.
But for DeMarcus Lawrence and Dallas, things are far less turbulent -- at least for now.
The Cowboys tagged the star defensive end in early March, choosing to pay a one-year tender worth $17.1 million. It's a decision with which Lawrence seems content.
