The Dallas Cowboys’ defense underwent a makeover this offseason. Dan Quinn, who led Dallas’ defense for the past three seasons, took a job as the head coach of the Washington Commanders, opening the door for 67-year-old Mike Zimmer to succeed him as the Cowboys’ new DC.
Zimmer, who has 14 years of experience as a defensive coordinator in the NFL, has shown a consistent ability to get the most out of young defenders. In his new position with the Cowboys, one of Zimmer’s most important tasks will be getting the most out of Dallas’ interior defensive line.
