A witness told police the "Dallas Cowboy's [SIC] running back hit him" during an investigation into an altercation at Clutch Bar in Uptown Dallas connected to Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott, according to records released to The Dallas Morning News.
Elliott, a source said, was involved in the incident that left Daryl Ibeneme, an area DJ who goes by the name of D Train, with a broken nose.
Dallas Police launched the aggravated assault investigation, but neither Elliott nor anyone else was named as a suspect. Records released to The News on Friday detail Ibeneme's account to officers who arrived at Clutch on July 16 to investigate.
