Heading into training camp next week, the Dallas Cowboys appear to be pretty set at the running back position. Along with the NFL’s leading rusher from last season in Ezekiel Elliott, the Cowboys also have veterans Darren McFadden and Alfred Morris on the depth chart. Throw in undrafted rookie Jahad Thomas out of Temple, and the team seemingly has four backs they can carry into camp.
But amidst rumors of a possible suspension looming over Elliott due to an alleged domestic violence incident from last year, the Cowboys appear to be considering adding a bit of insurance to the position.
