OXNARD, Calif. — Dallas Cowboys running backs coach Gary Brown said Saturday afternoon that the club isn’t looking to add a veteran running back any time soon because they’re happy with the players they have in training camp.
However, the Cowboys do need to add a camp body with tailback Gus Johnson suffering a sprained left shoulder in Thursday night’s preseason opener at San Diego. Johnson will miss at least the next few practices, coach Jason Garrett said Saturday.
That led to the Cowboys working out three running backs Saturday after the club’s morning walk-through practice here.
