The Dallas Cowboys got their first preseason victory in over two years in their final contest against the Houston Texans, 21-14. With coaches on both sides electing to sit a majority of their stars, the final game of the preseason is a showcase for fringe players looking to secure a spot of their respective teams. With final cuts hovering over both rosters, certain Cowboys players shined while other withered under the lights.

Cowboys running backs Gus Johnson and Ben Malena likely earned themselves a spot on an NFL roster or at least their practice squad.
