IRVING, Texas -- Teams can start to sign unrestricted on free agents on Wednesday, but today marks the beginning of the legal tampering period in which teams and agents can talk parameters on deals but not agree to them.
That’s in a perfect world, of course. There will be plenty of deals done in the next two days even if they're not "signed." Wink, wink. Nod, nod.
Will any of them belong to the Dallas Cowboys?
Don’t hold your breath. Last year, the Cowboys’ first free-agent signing was fullback Jed Collins on the third day of the open market.
