The number one thing the Dallas Cowboys offense lacked last year was speed. An aging group of wide receivers struggled to get open and create separation downfield, which resulted in the Cowboys have the third lowest 20+ yard passing plays in the NFL.
D.J. Chark, the 6’3 199 lb wide receiver out of LSU, could be the solution for the Cowboys continued lack of speed on offense.
In his 2017 season at LSU, the 21-year old wide receiver totaled 40 catches, for 874 yards, averaging 21.9 yards per catch, and three touchdowns.
While those stats don’t blow you away, Chark greatly improved his draft stock at the NFL Scouting Combine, showing off his outstanding athletic ability.
