This offseason, the Dallas Cowboys offense suffered two major losses. Those players being wide receiver Dez Bryant and tight end Jason Witten of course. Bryant was released in April after three years of lackluster production. Witten unexpectedly retired in May.
Say what you will about those former players. But both Bryant and Witten led the Cowboys in touchdown receptions last season. In fact, ever since Dak Prescott took over as the starting quarterback for America’s Team, Dez has been his main end zone threat. Those days are now gone.
Without either veteran to pass to, Prescott is going to have to find himself a new reliable end zone target.
