Coming into the preseason, there was a lot of talk about an undrafted rookie linebacker in training camp. Said player was Nebraska’s Luke Gifford. After an impressive performance in the Cowboys first preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers, which included an interception, Gifford suffered an high-ankle injury and is believed to be sidelined for a month.
