The New York Giants won the toss and deferred to the second half. Cooper Rush was told to enter the Thanksgiving Day buffet line first and did not hesitate.
While the Cowboys’ opening drive was partly kept alive thanks to a Kayvon Thibodeaux offsides penalty it featured a lot of good things. Rush looked as comfortable as he did against Washington, Rico Dowdle got involved and KaVontae Turpin got a nice touch that he turned into a 16-yard gain. All told Dallas finished it off with a Brandon Aubrey field goal to take the game’s first lead.
As the Giants were in the middle of their first offensive possession, the FOX broadcast discussed that New York had not had a lead at any point in a game since Week 6.
