The Dallas Cowboys resumed their preseason in AT&T Stadium against the Cincinnati Bengals in their home opener. The Cowboys first and second string offense and defense continued to perform well, despite losing the contest 21-13. It was their second loss of the preseason.
The Cowboys offense, which was led once again by third-year quarterback Dak Prescott, started off slowly but quickly found their rhythm. Prescott finished his night going 10 of 15 for 86 yards and a touchdown pass to wideout Terrance Williams.
Running back Rod Smith got the start again in place of Ezekiel Elliott and played well finishing the night with 13 carries for 49 yards.
