The Cowboys bring in the nine-year veteran as extra depth at linebacker after losing Rolando McClain to a 10-game suspension.
Exactly a week after reports surfaced that the Cowboys were talking to Justin Durant as a possible fill-in for the suspended Rolando McClain, the Cowboys today announced that they have signed Durant to a one-year deal.
Justin Durant, who will turn 31 in September, is a known quantity in Dallas. He was a defensive captain in 2014 before leaving for Atlanta last year - and Durant knows the Cowboys scheme well.
If nothing else, Durant will provide the Cowboys with some cheap insurance and an additional option as they head into camp.
