Over the last two seasons the Dallas Cowboys have invested $2.5 million on specialty back Lance Dunbar. Newly released, multi-purpose back Jamaal Charles would be a far better investment and expand greatly on the rotational role.
Both players have injury issues, yet when healthy Charles is far more dynamic in every aspect of the position.
He’d also provide a huge boost to kickoff returns.
With Dunbar, Dallas was well aware he provided little rushing help.
He was primarily used as an extra receiving threat on third downs.
