The Dallas Cowboys have one of the worst defenses to ever play in the National Football League through six weeks of a season, yet some how, some way, they are in first place in the NFC East. How the Cowboys are atop their division is really more about the rest of it than them. Altogether the NFC East has five total wins and the Cowboys own 40% of them. Whether they end up being a squad that hosts a playoff game remains to be seen, there is a lot of football to be played between now and the end of the regular season.
