The Dallas Cowboys defensive line was far from a bright spot in the season opening victory against the New York Giants. One sack of their stationary quarterbacks was less than impressive.
Part of the pressure deficit resulted from Giants running back Saquon Barkley having the line on their heels early on. The second year star runner gained 120 yards off of only 11 carries (10.91 average yards per rush).
There’s no telling how huge of a day Barkley would’ve had if the Giants didn’t fall far behind and have to abort the run game.
