With the first round of the NFL draft on Thursday, April 23rd, the Dallas Cowboys will have to make a decision on what position they will draft in the first round. While cornerback, safety, and receiver may seem like big needs, the Cowboys first pick should be a playmaker on the edge. With the loss of defensive end Robert Quinn in the offseason, the Cowboys are missing a sure-fire playmaker opposite of defensive end, DeMarcus Lawrence.
After losing Quinn to the Chicago Bears in free agency, the Cowboys brought in edge rusher Aldon Smith as insurance on a cheap contract.
