OXNARD, Calif. – The Blue/White Scrimmage on Sunday didn’t bring much excitement for the largest crowd yet of training camp. But there was a hold-your-breath moment for Dallas Cowboys fans.
Tony Romo – the Cowboys’ $108 million quarterback – aggressively pursued safety Barry Church after he recovered what appeared to be a fumble near the goal line. Romo sprinted toward Church running near the sideline and then slid knee-first into a padded stand-up advertisement near the fence line where fans stand to watch practice.
Romo was fine and even playfully nudged a kid near the fence after he popped up.
