The wait is over for DeMarcus Lawrence and the Dallas Cowboys.
According to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, Lawrence and the Cowboys have agreed to a new five-year contract. SportsDay's Jon Machota reported that the deal is worth $105 million.
Lawrence's deal caps off a period of restlessness for all parties involved. The Cowboys placed the defensive end under the franchise tag for the second-consecutive season. A one-year pact worth $20.5 million that Lawrence refused to sign after playing under the franchise tag in 2018.
Cowboys brass said this offseason that re-signing Lawrence was their top priority.
