Dallas Cowboys: Can Jameill Showers finally crack the 53-man roster?

When the Dallas Cowboys signed Jameill Showers in May of 2015, the plan was for him to be a future possible replacement for veteran quarterback Tony Romo.

Showers played two years in college at UTEP at the quarterback position, and was an explosive dual threat on their offense.

The stats that Showers put up at UTEP didn’t blow anyone away. Throwing 11 touchdowns to four interceptions his junior year, and 12 touchdowns, 1,858 yards and six interceptions in his final year.

One thing that Showers always did have was athleticism and size (6-2, 222 pounds), which is most likely what the Cowboys were looking at when they signed him in 2015.
