Dallas Cowboys backup QB Brandon Weeden suffers concussion against San Francisco

SANTA CLARA, Calif. — Dallas Cowboys backup quarterback Brandon Weeden suffered a concussion early in the second quarter Sunday, owner Jerry Jones said following the preseason game against the San Francisco 49ers.

Weeden was hit in the head when he was sacked by two San Francisco players, defensive tackle Quinton Dial and linebacker Eli Harold.

The Cowboys have three more full practices left at training camp in Oxnard, Calif., this week. Weeden won’t likely be able to return before the Cowboys break camp Friday.

The Cowboys also believe that safety Jeff Heath suffered a concussion against the 49ers.
