Dallas Cowboys agree to 2-year extension to train in Oxnard

Any idea that the Dallas Cowboys might stay at home for training camp now that they have moved into their new headquarters at the Star in Frisco can be put to rest.

The team has long maintained an interest in continuing to train in California and have put some contractual substance behind their words with a two-year contract extension with the city of Oxnard, starting this summer.

The deal, which was unanimously agreed to by the Oxnard City council during a meeting last week, also includes a city option for 2019 and 2020 that could potentially have the Cowboys training in Oxnard for the next four years.
