Every team has to go through it. Cutting a player they wish they could keep but can’t really find a place for them on the team.

Deonte Thompson’s inability to make it on to the field with an Achilles injury really put him behind the eight ball. With the emergence of Lance Lenoir as a pass catcher and his ability in special teams, it makes Thompson expendable.
