One of the early storylines of the 2021 NFL season has been the defense from the Carolina Panthers. Under the tutelage of former Baylor defensive coordinator Phil Snow, the Panthers have stifled some offenses in the early going, using pressure looks up front and relying on athleticism at all levels to impact both the passing game and the running game.
Then Sunday happened.
Dak Prescott and the Dallas Cowboys offense put 36 points on the board in the 36-28 victory, the first time Snow’s defense had allowed more than 14 points in a game this season. Prescott did not throw the football a ton, but he did complete 14 of 22 passes for 188 yards and four touchdowns.
