It’s been another special high school football season for John Stephen Jones, son of Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones and grandson of Cowboys owner/general manager Jerry Jones.
Jones, Highland Park’s quarterback, won the 2017 Landry Award honoring the top high school football player in North Texas. Named in memory of former Cowboys head coach Tom Landry, the award recognizes Jones’ performance on the field as well as his leadership and character. Jones beat four other local players for this coveted award.
On top of his accolades, Jones has recently received offers from the University of Arkansas and Texas Tech.
