The NFL announced Friday that Cowboys WR Shaq Evans has been suspended four games for violating the substance abuse policy.
Evans, 26, is a former fourth-round pick of the Jets back in 2014. He lasted just over a year in New York before he was waived and later signed to the Jaguars practice squad during the 2015 season.
Evans returned to Jacksonville the following years, but was once again cut loose at the start of the season and later signed to the Patriots’ practice squad. The Cowboys added him to their practice squad during the playoffs and he returned to the team on a future/reserve contract this past January.
